Senior Band.     Friday 6 September:      Arrive:  4.30pm

Junior Band.      Saturday 7 September:    Arrive:  10.15am

Concert Band.   Sunday 8 September:    Arrive:  4.00pm

Wear:  Full band uniform including black shoes and socks.

​

Bring:  Your instrument and music.  Bass players bring own guitar leads.  Percussionists bring your own mallets

​

Parking:

Parking is on the surrounding streets - allow plenty of time to find a car park as it is a residential area. 

​

Meet:

Upon arrival, please wait with other parents and children from your school on the grass area outside the hall.

​

Each band will be directed to a warm up area, where bands are to remain until they receive further direction.

​

Approximately 10 minutes before the start of the session, children, with instruments, will be brought to the hall.  They will enter the hall from the music studio.  Bands 2, 3 and 4 in the session will have a short warm up in the performance setup, before they play.

​

As a courtesy to other performers please remain in the hall for the duration of the session.

 

Admission cost for audience:

$6 adults and $3 concession.  Admission includes a copy of the Festival Program, and the music from that session - 3 - 4 bands - approximately a concert for 60 minutes.

​

Every child will receive a questionnaire to complete, and the opportunity to enter a composition competition. There will be prizes.  Access the composition competition here.

Every Band will have an 'on stage' workshop with one the clinicians immediately following the performance of their three pieces. 

​

Composer Tim Ferrier will be available all weekend to chat with children about composition, and to speak with Band Directors.
