Assessment Criteria for 2024

Assessments will be held on the Staff Development Day - Wednesday 31 January 2024  - in the Hall.

 

Senior Band 2024 - Criteria for those wishing to be assessed for Senior Band 2024-

One scale of the student's choice

- One chromatic scale

- A tune from Essential Elements or a piece you are working on with your tutor

 

For Senior Band (2023) wanting to try out for Concert Band 2024

- Two scales of your choice - two octaves where possible

- One chromatic scale

- Light sight reading exercise provided at the assessment-

Piece that demonstrates your ability - can be from your tutor or a band piece

 

Current (2023) Concert Band members re-joining Concert Band in 2024-

Three scales of your choice - two octaves where possible

- One chromatic scale- Light sight reading exercise provided at the assessment

- Piece that demonstrates your ability

- can be from your tutor or a band piece

 

OC and New Students Joining the school in 2024

- Three scales of your choice- two octaves where possible

- One chromatic scale- Light sight reading exercise provided at the assessment- Piece that demonstrates your ability - can be from your tutor or a band piece
